Dr. Jensen
Dr. Jensen was born and raised in Utah County. After serving a two-year mission for the LDS church in Mexico, he attended Weber State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He then attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Jensen received his surgical training in Detroit, Michigan through Michigan State University. During his five years of surgical residency, Dr. Jensen received extensive training in gastrointestinal surgery, colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy, breast surgery, bariatric surgery, soft tissue and hernia surgery, gynecologic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, cosmetic surgery and vascular surgery.
Since 2004, Dr Jensen has had a broad-based general surgery practice including treatment of a wide array of chronic venous diseases from asymptomatic spider vein treatment to treatment of painful varicose veins and even severe chronic venous insufficiency. Dr Jensen is a leader in the field of venous disease and currently serves as a proctor educating other physicians in that field. In fact, physicians from throughout the western United States travel to Layton, Utah to observe Dr Jensen. Dr. Jensen now resides in Kaysville, Utah with his wife and three children. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, skiing, scuba diving and surfing. He is also enjoys movies, art and humor.
Dr. Wilson
Dr. Peter Wilson, General Surgeon, established a new practice on the campus of Davis Hospital in the Davis Medical Plaza with Dr. Joseph Jensen in 2004. Dr. Wilson received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. He performed residency training in general surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
Born and raised in Salt Lake, Dr. Wilson is happy to return to the Wasatch front with his family where they can enjoy bicycling, skiing and other outdoor activities the area affords.
Dr. Wilson treats patients in the areas of general surgery including gallbladder disease, hernias, cancer of the skin, breast, thyroid and digestive tract including colonoscopy and stomach endoscopy. He has special interest in advanced laparoscopic procedures, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and minimally invasive comprehensive.
